Assessments

As part of my practice's value of wholeness, I often recommend taking some assessments and personal inventories that will support the work we are doing in therapy.  These are some of my favorites.

For Couples

The Five Love Languages

You and your partner may truly love each other, but most likely you experience that love in different ways.  "Relationships grow better when we understand each other. Everyone gives and receives love differently, but with a little insight into these differences, we can be confidently equipped to communicate love well."  Take the quiz to learn more!

Prepare/Enrich

Whether you're planning a wedding or celebrating years of marriage, the assessments offered through Prepare/Enrich are insightful, encouraging and catalytic.  "P/E is one of the most widely researched assessment tools.  Professors and students at colleges and universities worldwide use the scales as a tool to conduct and evaluate their research.  P/E continues to adapt and react to the changing reality of relationships through continued research and development of assessments and resources."

**You are required to take the assessment with a certified Facilitator, and I am one of them!  Please contact me directly if you and your partner would like me to facilitate this assessment.

For Parents

The Five Love Languages

You and your child may give and receive love differently, and I believe that parents deeply desire for their children to feel loved and cared for in meaningful ways.  "Discover your child’s primary language—then speak it—and you will be well on your way to a stronger relationship with your flourishing child."  Take the quiz now!

Prepare/Enrich

Parenting children can take a toll on a relationship, and oftentimes we don't even know where to start when it comes to learning how to be parents and partners.  "Help parents understand their particular parenting style with each child.  This version of the P/E assessment looks at a variety of important family functions, such as family communication, child behavioral concerns, and parenting stress, all while keeping the couple at the center of your focus."

For Individuals

The Enneagram

"From one point of view, the Enneagram can be seen as a set of nine distinct personality types, with each number on the Enneagram denoting one type. It is common to find a little of yourself in all nine of the types, although one of them should stand out as being closest to yourself. This is your basic personality type.  Everyone emerges from childhood with one of the nine types dominating their personality, with inborn temperament and other pre-natal factors being the main determinants of our type. This is one area where most all of the major Enneagram authors agree—we are born with a dominant type."  Find out your dominant type!

Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)

"The purpose of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) personality inventory is to make the theory of psychological types described by C. G. Jung understandable and useful in people's lives.  The essence of the theory is that much seemingly random variation in the behavior is actually quite orderly and consistent, being due to basic differences in the ways individuals prefer to use their perception and judgment...The best reason to choose the MBTI instrument to discover your personality type is that hundreds of studies over the past 40 years have proven the instrument to be both valid and reliable. In other words, it measures what it says it does (validity) and produces the same results when given more than once (reliability)."  Discover your type today!
